Architect Designed Gem
The London based Interior Design Company was asked by a busy couple to re-design the interior of their recently purchased 1960's architect designed property. The whole interior was stuck in the 1960’s which would not have been a bad thing if not one of the previous owners had decided to add an enormous amount of Victorian style detail.
The new owners wish was to create a comfortable living space which would reflect the very contemporary exterior of the house, without creating a minimalistic or modern interior which they felt would be too austere and cold.
The liked and eclectic style a mix of contemporary and antique furniture in different styles which were all brought together in a very balance colour theme which run through the entire first floor linking dining and lounge areas in a harmonious way without losing the character or individuality of each room.
Successful eclectic design is very difficult to achieve, the balance has to be right to ensure that pieces of furniture do not look dislodge from the all over scheme. Particular care has to be taken in bringin all the items together in a balanced and harmonious way.
Eclectic design is suitable for all types of property, may it be your London Townhouse, West Kensington Mansion or Country property.
